BlackBerry has pulled out the recently updated 10.2.2 version of the Twitter app from BlackBerry World as many BB10 users reported issues with the latest update.
It’s unclear whether Twitter or the BlackBerry pulled the update from the BB World app market, which was introduced 10 days ago with the intention of polishing the app for the troubled platform with BBM integration, timeline photo reviews, improved search and “reply within tweets” feature.
Donny Halliwell, Chief Editor of Inside BlackBerry blog promised to review the app, fix the issues and provide an update when the app is ready. He also posted the simple steps to downgrade to the previous version of the Twitter app, for those who are experiencing problems in the updated app.
You should follow these simple steps:
- Hold the Twitter icon on home until X mark appears, then delete the app.
- Now go to BlackBerry World and refresh the market by going to Settings > General (swipe down from the top screen) to make sure you will get the previous app.
- Now make a search “Twitter” and install the downgraded 10.2.1 version of the app.
