iPhone,iPod and iPad users can now download the jailbreak for latest version of Apple’s iOS 7 released by hackers. Jailbreak allows users to download paid apps, themes and extensions which are not included in the Apple store.
Evad3rs is the group, which has developed the evasi0n7 jailbreak which will work on iPhone, iPod and iPad devices running iOS 7. The jailbreak can be completed in 5 minutes via USB compatible with Windows, Mac OS X and Linux PC’s.
However there has been some compatibility issues with Cydia app store which is popular among jailbroken devices. Developers have assured to sort pot the issues through an update.
Evad3rs entering into a commercial partnership with Chinese app store Taig has not gone down well with the users as Taig would be bundled with the jailbreak software for people in China. Evad3rs also claim to be against the collection of pirated apps in Taig. Currently evad3rs have disabled the default installation of Taig as the piracy issue is being investigated.
“We don’t believe its right for the developers to not get paid for their work. In our agreement with Taig, we contractually bind them not to have piracy in their store. This was an extremely important precondition of working with them.”
Apple said the process”can violate the warranty” though it is not illegal to jailbreak. Jailbreaking for the process of interoperability is legal in the UK. Evad3rs have warned users to backup their devices before installing tweaks from Cydia as it could get stuck in the boot process.[Source]
