Following the addition of photo sharing on Direct Messages and revamping the design on iOS and Android via swipe between timeline features, Twitter now updated the Mac application with refreshed design and all new features.
Twitter has added Twitter photo previews in front and center on timeline and clicking on it will show the full res photos. Similar to its cross platform apps, cover photos can be added on profiles and the overall design of the app is changed and it visibly appealing throughout the application, almost similar to Twitter-owned TweetDeck, but with few differences.
The company has brought the change in app in right time, when the Mac users presumed the Mac app as almost dead.
You can disable photo previews from your timelines by going to preferences and unchecking the image previews. The new updated version 3.0 app comes with updated tweet detail pane, which shows the favorite, retweet counts as well as the conversation around the tweet.
You can download the latest version of the app, which is available on Mac App Store.
