Walmart will be further cutting the price of iPhone 5c from $50 to $27 on a new 2-years contract with Verizon and AT&T and it will be available from December 13th onwards till December 24th as part of its Christmas Countdown Savings Event.
Apple still sells the iPhone 5c for $99.99, however, when the device launched in other retail stores such as Best Buy, Target and Walmart the device has got price cut to $49.99. Now the Walmart is one step ahead of other retailers to offer the device for $27 (mostly, may be, to clear the inventory as the year 2013 comes to end in few days), while Target also not left behind, it provides a $50 gift card along with iPhone 5c.
2 months ago, it’s reported that the iPhone 5c is selling in 1:3 ratio against the iPhone 5s, since then, Apple also increased the budget for iPhone 5c marketing – we could see many colorful billboards and bus stops in New York City and other popular cities in U.S. Even when you visit the Apple website, you will be greeted by the colorful iPhone 5c smartphones. One of our user from India also said that they are watching excessive amount of iPhone 5c TV advertisements and didn’t even saw the iPhone 5s marketing once.
Apart from the iPhone 5c discount, Walmart also will be selling iPhone 5s for $127 (down from $199) on a 2-years contract and 16GB iPad mini will be coming for normal price, $299 but with a $50 Walmart gift card. Additionally, the $30 Apple iTunes gift cards will be available for $25.
