Everything You Need To Know about Sea of Thieves

Sea of Thieves has finally launched its beta version after all the fans have waited for so long. This game was the biggest First-Party game of the new year on Xbox One. Maybe that is why gamers hope the game will not disappoint them, being at least as successful as the previous version. During the Closed Beta, some users complained about getting an error message which prevented them from accessing the game.

Luckily, developers have managed to solve most of the problems. If you did not have the chance to explore the seas of the Sea of Thieves, there are a few ways in which you can do it. In case you have already participated in Technical Alpha, you are granted access to the Closed Beta. Another way you could do this is if you have signed up for the Sea of Thieves Insider Programme before December 1st, 2017.

The Sea of Thieves’ Closed Beta is out

The most obvious way in which you can obtain permission to access the Sea of Thieves’ Closed Beta is if you have pre-ordered the game. In case you have pre-ordered it on the Windows 10 Store or Xbox Live, the Closed Beta should be under the “Insider Content” panel. However, if you pre-ordered the game through Best Buy or Amazon, you will need to redeem the code for the Black Dog pack. This will then grant you access to the beta version of the Sea of Thieves.

Since PC and Xbox players are now able to play the beta version, PS4 owners are still wondering whether the game will be available for them as well. Unfortunately, developers have announced that the new closed beta will not come anytime soon on the PS4.

Summing up

Sea of Thieves is an Xbox One exclusive, being part of the Xbox Play Anywhere program. Hence, it will be available in the Microsoft Store for all Windows users. In this way, PC and Xbox players can play this game together.
