The first Destiny 2 Faction Rally started yesterday, on January 16th. It has been delayed from December. The first Faction Rally of Season 2 should have followed the release of the Curse of Osiris. Bungie decided to cancel the event in order for the team to re-analyze some parts of the games endgame content. The Faction Rally will last until January 23.

In their new blog post, Bungie indicated that gamers could earn rewards and experience the new updates, with the base gear and new armor they could earn. However, if you are new to Destiny 2 Faction Rally event, you have to learn more about its basics. Each of the Tower’s factions is having a rally which has as the main purpose to gather resources for its cause.

Hence, they recruit Guardians who destroy their faction’s enemy resources and collect more supplies for their faction. The factions bring a lot of rewards to help the Guardians fight against the faction’s enemies. Each faction has a powerful weapon that they set aside, persuading players to choose their side. Hence, the faction where the Guardians gather the most packages will win.

Then, the winning faction is free to offer the weapon to whoever they want. However, those who have pledged loyalty will get the weapon with a massive discount. This would be the payment they get for their contributions to the cause of their faction. The three faction leaders are Executor Hideo of New Monarchy, Lakshmi-2 from Future War Cult, and Arach Jalaal from Dead Orbit.
