Samsung Galaxy J, a S4 variant with Gear support to launch in Taiwan on Monday

Samsung to launch Galaxy J in Taiwan tomorrow, a Galaxy S4 variant smartphone, which was launched only in Japan.

Samsung’s Taiwan division has posted a video in YouTube, which points “just fit, just simple, just elegant, just fast and just for you”. When we closely look at the glimpse of the smartphone in the video and all these “just”s, we could say this device is nothing but the Samsung Galaxy J, which we covered in a rumor report recently.

How did we find the launch date?

Samsung’s teaser video hasn’t revealed the launch date of Samsung Galaxy J, but at the start of the teaser, there is a Galaxy Gear smartwatch shown and it shows the December 9 date in it. The teaser also shows that the device is 4G LTE as well as Gear compatible.

First announced in October 2013 under Japan’s NTT DoCoMo, Samsung Galaxy J is said to bethe Galaxy S4 variant but with some upgraded specs sheet, similar to Note 3. Android 4.3, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974) quad-core 2.3GHz processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB phone storage with upto 64GB expandable microSD card slot, 5-inch full HD Super AMOLED display, 13.2MP rear and 2.1 front cameras, 2600mAh battery, NFC, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS/A-GPS are the key specifications of the Galaxy J smartphone.
