The 2018 Jeep Wrangler Gets a Fresh Update

The well-known Jeep Wrangler is getting a fresh update. The descendant of the Army Jeep, Jeep Wrangler, is one of the most iconic cars in the nation. The newly updated jeep will be revealed in 2018, but its specs were already presented at the LA Auto Show. Jeep represents the crown jewel of Fiat Chrysler.

Even if the new Jeep Wrangler preserves its old roots, it adds a few modern retouches. Hence, the car will sport a backup camera in the middle of the spare tire. Furthermore, the updated car is lighter than the older model, losing some of its steel components. Now, most of its components are aluminum-based. The updated version features an extraordinary in-car entertainment system and a push-button start.

Nevertheless, Fiat Chrysler maintained the distinctive look of the Jeep Wrangler. The automaker tried to keep all the features that are critical for off-road drivers. The updated jeep features a more aerodynamic windshield. It can fold down with a four-bolt frame, making it easier. Moreover, you can drive this car through lakes or streams which are 30 inches deep without worrying about it.

Mike Manley, the head of the Jeep division of Fiat Chrysler, argues that you instantly recognize the all-new Wrangler as a Jeep. The updated version delivers more fuel efficiency, more comfort, and more rugged capability. Furthermore, the company works in collaboration with the University of Toledo, training over 2,300 workers when it comes to Wrangler’s production.

Summing up

Fiat Chrysler preserved its Jeep icon, adding some modern conveniences, some technology improvements and updating its look. The CEO of Fiat Chrysler, Sergio Marchionne argues that the process of production in Toledo will be enforced and they will build over 400,000 Wranglers every year. The new updates will benefit off-road drivers.
