The Enhanced Edition of Neverwinter Nights Was Announced

The Classic BioWare RPG Neverwinter Nights was announced for PC. The game developer has previously developed improved editions of Baldur’s Gate I & II, Planescape Torment and Icewind Dale. The new Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition will be available for Linux, Mac, and PC for $20. The game will have some advanced graphics shaders, updated translations, bug fixers and 4ksupport.

The fan community must be thrilled due to all these improvements. The new edition will be backward compatible with modules, mods and save games from the original Neverwinter Nights. The release of the enhanced edition will come with a Digital Deluxe bundle. This includes three of the premium modules, namely Wyvern Crown of Cormyr, Infinite Dungeons, and Pirates of the Sword Coast.

The improved edition of Neverwinter Nights will soon be here

Furthermore, it also features a new portrait pack and two soundtracks incorporating all of the original music. Trent Oster, the CEO of Beamdog, argues that Neverwinter Nights is a unique game. It combined the essence of Dungeons & Dragons, allowing gamers to develop, act and share as Dungeon Master. In this way, players will have extraordinary gaming experiences.

The unique combination of elements makes Neverwinter Nights one of the most skilled role-playing game experiences. However, the CEO of Beamdog did not announce any release date. Even if the name of the new edition might suggest a HD remake, the improvements are clearly not about that. The enhancements also bring a few pieces of UI and more effects like post-processing and depth-of-field.

Summing up

Even if we do not know the release date yet, some preorder customers will have access to a beta. The new enhanced edition of Neverwinter Nights will have numerous improvement in terms of effects and graphics. If you are a fan of the fame, you should not miss it.
