It seems like an official image of the upcoming Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones from Google has leaked. With just a few hours left before the official, big launch, we now have a complete look at those too highly-anticipated devices. One thing is sure. From the image, we can see how massive and imposing the two devices actually are. However, there is a very big difference between them, and it also has to do with size.
For starters, the Google Pixel 2 Xl has a very large screen that measures 6 inches. However, the Pixel 2, while keeping the 5-inch display of the predecessor, also keeps the enormous top and bottom bezels. A disappointing trait indeed, especially for those people who surely wanted to try the new smartphone, thinking that maybe it will not have bezels. The news is undoubtedly sad for those people.

Apart from this, Google has also redesigned the Android home screen. For starters, the search bar is at the bottom now, which will be hard to adapt to. However, the bar’s mere presence is a bit unnecessary, as the Google Assistant can help you each time you want. Also, the apps you put on the screen are used far more frequently that that search bar. So, if this bar cannot be moved or removed, it will surely spark some frustration among users. We’ll have to wait and see.
As for the Pixel 2 Xl, right from the get go one notices its perfect size. Even if it’s still big, it’s shorter and a bit narrower, making it excellent for handling with only one hand. Moreover, both smartphones now have stereo speakers on the front, a trait that returned after disappearing following Google’s defunct Nexus range.
The specifications of both phones fit right in with most actual generation smartphones. Both phones will be powered by the Snapdragon 835 chip with 4 GB of RAM and 12-megapixel camera, in both cases. Considering how amazing the camera was on the last Pixel phones, everyone will have very high expectations. The Pixel 2 will supposedly go on sale on October 19th, while the Pixel 2 XL on November 15th. All in all, we will see how people will receive these devices one they are officially released.
