We are about a month away from the official release of the new Call of Duty game from Activision. So, because there is so little time left, we also got a story trailer for the upcoming Call of Duty: WWII video game, which looks breathtaking and promising at the same time. The trailer offers a glimpse at the much-anticipated story for the single-player campaign of the game. It’s epic, frightening and has that World War II atmosphere that so many games have forgotten about nowadays.
Almost all the games are now dealing with the modern part of war and imagining what it would look like in the future. Call of Duty did that too, with Modern Warfare. However, now, it’s time to learn a little bit of history once again.
Story trailer for Call of Duty: WWII
After lots and lots of shooters which were focused on modern and future war, many players are now feeling the nostalgia and the need to go back to the roots, where it all began. World War II is one of the not so many periods in history that can create excellent stories. And there have been some amazing video games based off of this conflict. However, now, after so many futuristic weapons and armors, some of us feel the need to use a classic weapon again. This is exactly what this new trailer promises.
According to the story that accompanies the trailer, players will take on the role of Private Ronald Daniels, or Red. He is part of the U.S. First Infantry Division, and his first mission will happen during in the infamous D-Day. From the iconic beaches of Normandy to a campaign which will stretch all over Europe, players will be able to guide Red and live his story. The game will reportedly include famous battles like The Battle of the Bulge and Hurtgen Forest. Finally, it will all come down to Germany.
An epic war story
The trailer looks more like one for a blockbuster movie, in the usual Call of Duty way. Red will go through a lot of things during this war, and he will get to know defeat as well as victory. Call of Duty: WWII will officially come out on November 3 on every platform out there. And apart from the classic, single-player campaign, players will get to experience a multiplayer mode alongside the already-famous zombies.
