Uncharted: The Lost Legacy Doesn’t Need Nate to be Amazing

Chloe and Nadine in Uncharted: The Lost Legacy

Naughty Dog has done it again! Their new game, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, is full of charm, adventures and entertaining fights. But these are not the only things this game excels at. This time, there is no Nathan Drake in sight. Instead, two women we all know and love are the main characters in the game. Nadine Ross and Chloe Frazer are two very different personalities which somehow, blend extremely well together. In the beginning, Naughty Dog admitted that they couldn’t come to an agreement as what pair of characters they should choose for this game. There were so many alternatives. Apparently, they chose the best one.

Chloe and Nadine

As fans might already know, Chloe is a fortune hunter, similar to Nate, while Nadine is a former mercenary. One has the knowledge and the history, the other has the guns and the battle plans. The two have extremely different backgrounds yet somehow, they have amazing chemistry and work very well together. Their mission is to find a lost artifact called The Tusk of Ganesh which is hidden somewhere in India. And, as any other Uncharted game, there is a villain on their tracks. This time, his name is Asav, a warlord that holds violence and murder as his way of life. He is one of the most ruthless villains in the entire Uncharted universe.

One of the most interesting parts of this game is the possibility to explore the events that happened in the Uncharted series from other perspectives. These women have very different stories than Drake. This opens the way to explore other points of view and other conclusions. The game’s environment is beautifully done and shows one again that Naughty Dog has something special for tropical jungles and temples.

From a different perspective

Chloe and Nadine make small talk about the ruins they encounter and places they visit. Those are not too many, because The Lost Legacy is shorter than the first Uncharted game. That was 8 hours long, this one is only 6. Still, you shouldn’t need more because those hours encompass everything an action-adventure fan should wish for. This game is the best blending of action, with puzzles and exploration of the entire series. All in all, The Lost Legacy is not a new direction for this popular series. Instead, is a possibility for fans to explore various points of view and acquire more knowledge.
