LG Announces Mid-Range Q6 Smartphones

Q6 series of smartphones

Recently, LG made the official announcement regarding the release of a new mid-range handset, the LG Q6. Over the past two weeks, rumors have been going around about this new range of smartphones. Now, it seems like it is all finally official. According to the company, the new series is basically the lesser version of the LG G6. Moreover, some are even calling it the G6 Mini but more as a nickname because officially, it doesn’t bear this name. It may be more of a spiritual G6 Mini, especially considering its specifications and the fact that it indeed, looks like a mini version of the G6.

The first “Q” series of smartphones from LG

It’s important to note that this is the first “Q” series of smartphones coming from the company LG. However, even if it may look like the smaller version of the G6, this smartphone will not have the glass and metal look on its back. Moreover, users should know that it also won’t come with a fingerprint sensor nor with the very-popular dual camera system. Apart from this, it’s important to know that, according to the company, there are three different versions of the Q6 smartphone. Apart from the original one, there will be the Q6 Plus and the Q6α.

There is not much difference between them, apart from the storage capacity. The Q6α will have the smallest storage capacity, the Q6 will be the medium device, while the Q6 Plus will have the biggest storage capacity. Also, it’s worth noting that the Snapdragon 435 octa-core processor is going to power those devices. As for the battery, they will come with a 3.000mAh battery that users will not be able to remove. The display will be a 5.5-inch full HD one, for all the versions. They will also sport a 13-megapixel back camera and a 5-megapixel front one.

A good phone at an accessible price

The main purpose of those devices is to deliver good quality at a rather affordable price. Users will also be able to choose from four colors varying from black to platinum, white and finally, gold. Next month, they will become available in Asia. A bit later, everyone in the world apart from Africa will be able to get their hands on them. LG hasn’t reveled their starting price but will probably do so soon.
