It seems like the very popular console Nintendo Switch is going to receive yet another successful series. The next installment of the Splatoon series will be coming to Switch after originally debuting for the Wii U console. However, every gaming fan knows what a failure that console was. So, the company decided that it was time to reinvent a classic and bring the sequel of this game to a more advanced and successful console. Wii U was also known as a certain way of destroying any hope any game had of ever being popular. For example, Super Mario Maker was an amazing game only killed by the console the company released it for.
The next installment in the Splatoon series
Splatoon 2 is going to come out for the Nintendo Switch on July 21. However, there are a lot of details which have already leaked regarding the upcoming game. Even if it has a childish type of graphics, the game is actually a third-person shooter. However, the interesting part is that the player will not shoot pistols and machine guns, but paint guns. This is a game that a kid could indeed play without having any problem. It’s more of a child’s play which doesn’t promote violence in any way, unlike the typical shooters nowadays. Still, this doesn’t mean that the game is not full of jokes and situations which inly adults might understand. This actually makes it even more interesting and unique.
The basic idea of the game is to paint as much of the environment as possible. There are various teams and whichever one manages to paint more objects or buildings wins. But this may not be as simple as it sounds. One team can cover another team’s paint, so there is a possibility that you worked in vain to fully pain a building. Also, the game has “kills”, which mean that you can completely cover an opponent with paint and prevent them from going further.
A fun, kid-friendly game
It’s also worth noting that the original game had its focus on multiplayer. This time, Splatoon 2 will have a detailed single-player campaign too. The game is an interesting blend of a children’s game with a serious third-person shooter, which makes it unique. We will see how fans of the first one will receive the sequel, especially because it will now be for the very popular Nintendo Switch console.
