What We Know About Destiny 2

Destiny 2 will reportedly launch on PC too, unlike the original game which was so loved by fans and became a worldwide phenomenon. However, the game will have some differences from the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions. So, there are a few things fans of Bungie’s videogame should know before its release. For example, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will come out on September 8th. As for the PC version, nobody knows the exact release date for the moment.

The much-anticipated Destiny 2

Fans of the game should know that Bungie is yet to confirm the required specifications for the upcoming game. They will probably offer more details at E3. However, there was a Destiny 2 gameplay premiere event during which the game was running on a PC with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, an Intel Core i7-7700K 4.2Ghz, a 500GB SSD, and 16 GB RAM. It is worth noting that on medium settings, the game looked very well, defined and well-structured. It was also at a 4K resolution.

There are also some advantages for the PC users. For example, the game will support a 4K resolution and uncapped framerates. It will also have wide screen support and an FOV slider. As for the control scheme, the PC version will apparently use a classic one with the W, A, S, D and Space keys and the mouse. Unfortunately, there will not be dedicated servers for the game, only peer-to-peer ones.

Interesting details

Those experts who had the chance to get their hands on the game revealed that the gameplay for Destiny 2 feels fluent and natural. Also, that the keyboard and mouse support is a very useful addition. Interestingly enough, it made some single-player portions of the game much easier. This is not necessarily a bad thing, because it will fit the gaming abilities of a wide range of players.

It is worth noting that Destiny 2 on PC will use the Blizzard App. This is a premiere as it will be the first videogame which Blizzard did not develop to appear on this gaming platform. There is also some bad news when it comes to this sequel. Players will not be able to transfer the items, powers and possessions from the first game into this new one, on PC. On consoles, the character’s appearance will be the same but it is unclear whether or not everything else will be transferrable.
