Fans of the “Red Dead Redemption” videogame were not at all surprised when Rockstar announced on Monday that they pushed back the sequel until Spring of 2018. So, everybody will have to wait a few more months to see the series they love on a modern console. Rockstar posted the official announcement on the Newswire section on their website, along with a series of new screenshots which look amazing.
“Red Dead Redemption 2” won’t come out until Spring 2018
The official announcement from Rockstar is saying that the videogame will come out on Spring 2018 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Also, they are saying that “Red Dead Redemption 2” will be the first game created from scratch for the new generation of consoles. This is actually the main reason why they decided to delay the game. The developer wishes to deliver the best possible experience to its fans. So, they need to make some small adjustments to make sure everything will be perfect.
Also, Rockstar apologized to the fans for the disappointment their announcement caused. However, the company said that they are going to offer more details about the game this summer. Until then, it seems like they wanted to reduce the amount of disappointment. So, they revealed a series of brand-new screenshots from the upcoming game. It is worth noting that the majority of fans and experts expected this move from Rockstar. After all, they are famous for delaying even their biggest titles. Still, those delays do not seem to affect the games when they finally get released, mainly because there are so eagerly-expected by everyone.
Fans are eagerly anticipating it
The experts are saying that “Red Dead Redemption 2” will have the same (or even bigger) success in the Spring as it would have had in the Fall. After all, that is not a very competitive period of time. So, the game, which fans are already eagerly expecting, will surely do well. The upcoming game will continue the tale from the original “Red Dead Redemption”. It was a story of revenge and redemption which was taking place in the Old West. It is interesting that “Red Dead Redemption” was also a follow-up of the “Red Dead Revolver”. However, not many remember it.
