Amazon has seen a record online sales of gadgets in Thanksgiving Day, which is led by millions of tablets sold in Thursday – thanks to the timing of the early promotions from the World’s largest online retailer.
Amazon has grown a whopping 31% from its last year’s sales on the same day, which is quite impressive when compared to the 9.8% sales growth of Walmart online store. Ebay also managed to climb 26% on Thursday but its Black Friday Deals helped the growth jump to 35% on Friday, while Amazon’s growth was 25% o the same day compared to last year.
Although Amazon revealed a press release on its upcoming Cyber Monday deals to run for 7 days, the company hasn’t revealed the numbers or any kind of statements to public yet, the analysts and experts measures the online sales of tablets are the highest sold gadget from their online store – thanks to the attractive tablet deals – most of them were the deals on Samsung Galaxy Tablets.
Scot Wingo, CEO of ChannelAdvisor wrote in a blog post summarizing the Thanksgiving action online said,
“Amazon is running a ton of promotions already and you can see it working.”
Total online sales had seen a 20 percent growth from last year’s same period, according to the IBM Digital Analytics Benchmark (tracks approximately 800 retails), while the report from Custora ecommerce Holiday trends and benchmarks (tracks more than 100 retails) suggests a 15% growth from last year.
