Gionee, a brand not so known in Western countries is excessively marketing its smartphones and tablets in Asian countries. As we said before, the company is aiming big and you should know that they have something in their bag, which are, Elife E7 smartphone is the first known device with Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 2.5GHz MSM8974AC processor with Adreno 330 GPU and (huge applause!) the most sensitive 16-megapixel camera sensor with 1.34 µm pixels and Largan M8 lens.

The smartphone with 5.5-inch 1080p LTPS display screen protected by Coning Gorilla Glass 3, comes pre-installed Amigo 2 OS over Android 4.2, 2500mAh non-removable battery, 2GB RAM with 16GB internal storage and 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, OTG, 4G LTE and 3G (both WCDMA and TD-WCDMA).

William Lu, President of Gionee said in the press release statement,

“We have seen many smartphones such as iPhone 5S or Sony Z1 which either chose to increase the resolution and sacrifice the pixel size or vice versa. However, we have come up with a way to create the perfect combination and balance of image resolution and picture quality.”

However, the aperture of the camera is still unknown but in the specification part, the company mentioned the camera as “16.0MP AF+8.0MP AF camera” and the claiming gone as far as the camera comparison with that of Galaxy S5’s, where it said that the Gionee Elife E7‘s camera beats the 1.12µm, 16-megapixel camera of yet-to-be announced Samsung Galaxy S5. Stay tuned on The Next Digit for more updates on the camera, until we get our hands-on soon.
