Amazon has updated its Appstore application for Android, jumping from version 5 to version 7 with easier to use interface and new looks.
The alternative app store mainly used on Amazon Kindle Fire tablets, is also available for any Android smartphones and tablets. With the new updated Appstore, the new user interface with Fire OS 3.1 feel has been introduced. Fire OS is the heavily customized OS from Android 4.0 core, which revealed during the Kindle Fire HDX tablets. The aesthetic design looks closer to the Google Play Store, but with dark colors (dark grey and orange color scheme) with a pseudo-3D shading.
Amazon revealed in the changelog that the updated application also comes with several bug fixes, stability improvements as well as enhanced performance. One, specialty of the Amazon Appstore is, it provides free app of the day promotion, which will help users to get the paid apps for free. This is really good chance, if users are lucky enough to get the much needed app.
The latest Amazon Appstore application is available and you can download it from here. Make sure, you have selected “Install from Unknown Sources” option under settings > applications or settings > security – depending on your device model.
