Deals – HP & Intel will release Mesquite 7 Android tablet for $89 at Walmart


Intel based Mesquite 7-inch tablet made by HP will go on sale for only $89 on Black Friday at Walmart on November 29th, said the chip maker in the blog post.

With lighting speed browsing and extraordinary battery life, HP Mesquite comes with Intel’s Medfield-class Atom processors and it will run on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box. Intel also listed few other tablets running on their processors such as 8-inch Dell Venue 8 tablet at Dell.com with upto $50 discount offer on the selling price of $179.99. The same tablet will be received for free, if you buy any PC worth $599 and more at Costco.

 Intel’s Inside Scoop blogger Marcia Hansen wrote in the official blog,

“Whether you’re looking for a small 7-inch or 8-inch tablet or a larger 10-inch tablet running Android or Windows 8, there are lots of choices this holiday powered with Intel processors.”

Even the 8-inch Dell Venue 8 Pro is available for $279.99 at Staples and $299.99 at Dell.com with $50 and $79 discount. Staples will also list the Toshiba Encore 8-inch Windows 8 tablet for $299 after $30 discount.

Finally, Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 with dual-core Intel Atom processor with 1.6GHz speed also in the row with the discounts, in which Costco’s offer is more attractive with $100 discount, the price comes to $279.99. However, Office Depot and Best Buy offers the same tablet for $299.99 and Walmart’s offering is at $299, round figure.

The company also has some deals (not revealed yet) on Intel running Dell Venue 7, HP Omni, Asus MeMoPad, Acer Iconia W3 and Lenovo Miix 2. If you are looking for a pocket-friendly Android or Windows tablets, then wait for the Black Friday deals. Tell us, which one you would go for?
