Acer Aspire R7, a 15.6-inch unique convertible laptops will be refreshed with faster than before processor, double storage and active stylus support in this shopping season.

This refreshed R7 exclusive with 8GB of RAM for Best Buy will be priced at $899, which is $50 higher than previous version with 6GB of RAM. Acer’s patented Ezel Hinge tech has been introduced with this laptop, which will convert the laptop into a tablet, only display mode and special Ezel mode. However, the main changes made in the refreshed notebook is all new fourth generation Intel Core i5 CPU, which will work faster as well as save more battery life and Acer claims that the new Acer Aspire R7 will offer upwards 6 hours 30 minutes of use time, which is way better than its predecessor’s 5 hours and 8 minutes battery life.
Along with the faster processor, the laptop will also come with a new active stylus for R7 and the company said that the stylus pen recognize 256 levels of pressure and comes with customizable side buttons as well as interchangeable tips. The sad part is, you have to pay additional $49 to own this active stylus pen.

I just bought this. BG improvement over first version. WIFI is fantastic and screen is gorgeous. Pen works very well for drawing or note-taking. Do yourself a favor and drop in an SSD.
