Huawei president confirms Ascend P6S with own octa-core processor

Huawei will be releasing Ascend P6S, the successor for Ascend P6, its slimmest and stylish smartphone from the company and the device will be running on true 8-core MTK6592 rival processor.


Te rumors also says that Huawei Glory 4 running on Taiwanese Mediatek MTK6592 will be launched in December event.

The news came from the mydrivers news, a Chinese news site, which reported that the company’s president Xu Xin Quan has revealed this information through his Weibo blog account. The company also confirmed the news that it’s preparing to launch a chipset with octa-core CPU in it. So, the Huawei Ascend P6S will be replacing the K3V2 as the chipset. No more specifications and features were revealed yet.

The Chines manufacturer has its strong grip in mobile market, especially in Asia, including China, Japan and India with many mobile and network related devices such as modems, where China is the strong base of revenue for the company yet. Compared to the industry standard Qualcomm, the pricing of Huawei chipsets are much low. Huawei has huge potential in premium markets such as U.S. and U.K., where it can grow in rapid motion if partnered with other device manufacturers with its new octa-core processors.
