Shovel Knight is about to release next week, and suddenly the release date was postponed. Accompanying the delay news of delaying the game release, Yacht Club Games give us another news that the price for the game for PS4 and other consoles has been increased from $19.99 to $24.99.
Previously the game is about to sale in the coming weeks, and it is also available for most of the consoles such as PS4, Wii U, and Nintendo 3DS. Sudden change in release date creates a huge disappointment among the gamers.
The developer team has mentioned as,
“publishing policies on the [Xbox One] that are beyond our control”. “We’re very sorry…we know there is a lot of interest – the pre-orders were really good and we thank everyone for their support!” First and foremost, Xbox One owners hoping to pick up the physical retail version are out of luck, as it’s been cancelled for Xbox One. As Yacht Club explains it, “some retailers ran into trouble with limited space to show off their wares, and the rules in place about where games with certain prices are displayed”.
Currently, the device is planned to release on November 3rd in U.S and Canada. And on October 30 in European countries, the game will be released.
Yacht Club made a little tweak in the price list and it might be the reason for the delay. The game can be bought for the price tag of the $19.99 using bargain section and it is a limited one. They have mentioned that if anyone has pre-ordered the game, nothing can be done for the same. They have mentioned that they were in the process of making this more useful for the users.
Also, in order to console the users, and reduce the user’s pain, they have offered an announcement of the soundtrack, which will come under a physical copy of the game. Yacht Club mentioned that user’s can now download & enjoy the soundtrack by Jake Kaufman, which will be included in the game soon.
