The latest offering from HTC‘s desire range, the HTC Desire 500 was unveiled in the UK. The latest device would be stocked by Carphone Warehouse, the company announced.
HTC Desire 500 will be available in two colors, ‘Laquer‘ Black and ‘Shimmer‘ White which is exclusive for Carphone Warehouse, which already has more than 1700 stores cross Europe. The features of smartphone are almost similar to the HTC One, well priced at £180 on PAYG (pay as you go) and £15 per month which is a good deal.
Powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon S200 processor, the device also includes HTC’s Sense 5.0 UI integrated with controversial BlinkFeed. BlinkFeed along with Sense features are the most important feature in the HTC Desire 500 were recently added to the Desire range as they were only available on HTC One, One Mini, and the One Max.
The phone measures 132mm long and 67mm wide, which is fairly big along with its 4.3-inch display. The display features a 800×400-pixel resolution which is quite low. Internal storage is of 4GB which can be expanded by a micro SD card with the option of transferring some apps to the SD card.
HTC BoomSound promises improved sound quality along with Beats Audio. Though the lowdown in the device is the lack of UltraPixel technology, the 8MP rear and 1.6MP front cameras provides value for the bucks. HTC Desire 500 is available for the operators – O2, Orange and T-Mobile by the retailer Carphone Warehouse with no upfront cost for 2 years contract along with their respective tariff plans.
