In the hustle-bustle of Apple iPhones, other latest smartphones from Samsung and newcomers like Xiaomi, OnePlus, it looks like people have almost forgotten about Google Inc’s (NASDAQ:GOOG) Nexus series of smartphones and tablets. Meanwhile, we have some great “trusted” news for affordable as well as high-end Nexus’ fans. Google will be launching 2015’s Nexus phones (yes, 2 models from two phone makers) on September 29, 2015.
We all know from the previous leaks and rumors that Google has partnered up with LG and Huawei to make 2 versions of Nexus phones for 2015. LG’s device was codenamed as “bullhead,” while Huawei’s phone was codenamed as “angler.” Now, according to the latest report, LG-made device will be called as Google Nexus 5X, while Huawei-made phone will be named as Google Nexus 6P.
According to the recently leaked information, LG Nexus 5X will be coming with a 5.2-inch FullHD 1080p display, 146.9 x 72.9 x 8/9.8mm dimensions, USB Type-C connector, Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor (instead of the expected 810 CPU), 3GB of RAM, 12.7 megapixel primary camera with OIS and latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow software. The device will be priced at $399, with attractive monthly installment scheme on selected carriers. The leaked render of the LG-made Google Nexus 5X 2015 posted above.

Android Police posted a screenshot of Google Inc’s invitation to the September 29’s San Francisco event. Google could launch these two smartphones along with upgraded Chromecast, and maybe any surprise devices (a tablet?).
