Microsoft Corporation’s (NASDAQ:MSFT) Windows 10 is way freer for you when it comes to personalization. There are a lot more features available to you with Windows 10 compared to the previous versions of Windows. As it happens, the manufacturers have also taken on this newly available freedom to bring in a new batch of devices running on Windows 10 at the IFA Home Electronics Show. The IFA Home Electronic Show took place on Friday in Berlin, showing light on quite a few new Windows 10 devices.
In the recent past, the Computer Industry has been slightly down on sales when it comes to Windows 10 PC’s. The trend changed with the rise of Android devices as more people are now interested in having a high end smartphone or a tablet instead on a Computer. Most of the companies were depending on the new operating system from Microsoft to bring in a change in the trend and it seems that Windows 10 has brought some change for sure.
Many companies have launched a few devices running Windows 10 already and have had comparatively better sales figures. The IFA Home Electronic Show also saw a few high end Windows 10 devices being launched on Friday.
Toshiba is among the makers who have launched a new laptop running on Windows 10. The new Satellite Radius 12 has been priced at $1627 and comes with 4K display. The 12 inch laptop has been specifically designed to make the full use of the exceptional graphical features available with Windows 10. It also boasts of a special microphone coupled with a dedicated button for Microsoft’s Cortana.
Mr. Rudolf Aunkofer, global director at a consumer research firm GfK, believes that owing to the excessive sales of Android devices last year, the market has reached a saturation point. He believes that Windows 10 is likely to kick of things.
Apart from Toshiba’s Windows 10 devices, IFA 2015 witnessed the launch of many other brands’ Windows gadgets as well. Acer launches Aspire One Cloudbook while Lenovo launches Ideapad 100S 14-inch affordable laptops for students. In business segment, Dell launches Latitude 13 7000 Series 2-in-1, HP launches Elitebook Folio 1020 and Lenovo reveals Thinkpad Yoga 260/460. For rough and tough users Panasonic launches Toughpad FZ-M1 to perform in harsh environments like oil and gas, healthcare, military, manufacturing and law enforcement.
Dell launches Inspiron AIO Series for family use while ASUS launches ROG G752 gaming laptop to leverage the power of DirectX 12 on Windows 10 OS. ASUS’ Zen AiO S all-in-one device features NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 gaming-level graphics with the capabilities for Windows Hello.
