The much anticipated Android smartphone from Blackberry has been in the news for quite a time now. While the company haven’t launched the phone yet, there are plenty from rumor mill surrounding the upcoming smartphone. The latest rumor comes from the famous Twitter spy @evleaks. He shared a GIF image on his Twitter account showing BlackBerry’s Productivity Suite of apps on the supposed slider smartphone named ‘Venice’.
The tweet read, “Nothing else keeps you as productive as BlackBerry” with a GIF image showing the BlackBerry Productivity Suite of apps running on the smartphone.
According to @eveleaks tweet, the company’s slider smartphone would be much more than a stock Android handset as it would also include some of the beloved BlackBerry experiences and features developed right into the system.
The BlackBerry Productivity Suite includes the BlackBerry Hub, BlackBerry Calendar, BlackBerry Contacts, Documents to Go, Input, and Universal Search. The ‘Communication Suite’ includes BBM, Worklife for BlackBerry, BBM Meetings, BBM Protected, SecuSuite for BlackBerry, and Global Support while the ‘Security Suite’ includes BlackBerry Enterprise Service 12, VPN Authentication, Secure Work Spaces, Enterprise Identity by BlackBerry, BlackBerry Blend, and Password Keeper.
A couple of GIF videos were leaked a week back, which showed the device alongside a high-resolution leaked image. The image of the front panel came on Twitter showed some Android apps on the screen such as Google Play, Google+, Hangouts, Google Maps and Android for Work.
About the specs of the upcoming phone, based on earlier leaks, the BlackBerry Venice smartphone will most probably feature a 5.4-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels) display, a 1.8GHz hexa-core 64-bit Snapdragon 808 SoC, 3GB of RAM, an 18-megapixel rear camera, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
The handset is rumored to launch some time in November. We’ll keep you updated as soon as we get some more information about the device.
