Motorola recently launched its budget smartphone Moto G 3rd-gen along with Moto X Play and its flagship Moto X Style at its event, but there was no word about the much anticipated 2nd Gen Moto 360 smartwatch. While everyone is waiting for the announcement of the next generation Motorola smartwatch, the watch has been reportedly spotted in Chicago near Motorola headquarters.
The watch was spotted by Google+ user Gerrit Godecke and Reddit user ThatGuyWhoRuinedIt. Both of them have posted photos of the luxurious looking smartwatch that allegedly is the upcoming Motorola smartwatch running on the Android Wear OS.
The smartwatch in the leaked images look almost similar to the previous generation Moto 360 and includes the ambient light sensor at the bottom. There is a small change, however. The button on the right side is now have been moved slightly upwards compared to previous version.
While both leaked images show the luxurious looking gold color variant of the smartwatch, one is sporting an all-black leather strap while the other has a Cognac band,.
This is not the first time, we’re hearing about the upcoming smartwatch. Some earlier reports suggested that the next-gen Moto 360 would come in two sizes. Also, a few weeks ago, Motorola accidentally released a teaser video of the watch on Twitter before quickly deleting it.
In terms of hardware, we are not sure yet. Some leaked reports point to a 270 mAh and 300 mAh batteries for the two sizes. The device will sport a 1.56-inch 360X360 pixel LCD. It will be powered by a 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 series processor, along with a 450 MHz Adreno GPU. It will also have 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage.
Moto 360 was launched last year in September at the IFA.
