Samsung gave Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge Plus for Apple users for just $1

South Korean smartphone maker Samsung has taken the smartphone competition to a whole another level as the company has recently announced that the current Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone users can try out its latest Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Galaxy Note 5 at just one dollar.galaxy-note-5-s6-edge-plus

Here’s the whole deal: If you are having an iPhone, for a single dollar, you can try one of the Samsung’s latest flagship phones fro 30 days with no obligation. Samsung is calling this the “Ultimate test Drive”.

<

“Your test drive kit will come with the phone of your choice, an activated SIM card, and a step-by-step guide to help you start your test drive” Samsung says on its promotion page, “After 30 days, if you buy a qualifying Samsung device, there’s even more love in the store for you.”

There is catchy though. This is a rental program and if you accidentally break the phone, crack the screen, or it severely malfunctions due to water damage or some other issue, it will cost you $100.

To take the “Samsung Ultimate test Drive,” you’ll have to register online using an iPhone on the site. There you’ll have to choose your network provider and which of the phones you’d like to borrow. After the 30 day period, you have to send the handset back to Samsung using the included shipping label.

The people taking this program also have to fill out surveys. So while all of them will not convert from Apple to Samsung right away, Samsung will still have some useful information about the iPhone users.
