Google Nexus 2015 by LG and Huawei specs leaked ahead of launch

This is the time of the year when every manufacturer launches their respective flagship devices. No other Android device is more awaited in the Android circuit than the Google’s own Nexus. Going by the reports, Google is coming with two Nexus phones this year instead of one. One will be a 5.7″ phablet from Huwaei and the other a 5.2″ from LG. Apparently, a new Nexus tablet seems unlikely this year.huawei-lg-nexus-2015-google

According to the leaks by Twitter spy OnLeaks, the LG Nexus phone is going to be called Nexus 5 2015, which means it is going to be a successor to the Nexus 5 of 2013 with its similar form-factor. The device will feature a 5.2″ HD display. According to the leaks, the device will also sport a a fingerprint sensor on the rear and front-facing dual speakers. Due to the speakers on the front, the device will be a longer than the original Nexus 5 at 146.9mm. The device is expected to be slimmer than the 2013 Nexus 5. Another goodie will be the USB Type C port which is soon going to be the standard.

The Nexus phone made by Huwaei will apparently be called Nexus 6 2015 which clearly means it will replace the previous year’s Motorola Nexus 6 with its phablet form factor. This year, the Google has toned the size a bit and will be offering a 5.7 inches QHD screen instead of the 6 inches found on the Motorola Nexus 6. The device will be featuring a metal body this time around with dimensions 159.4 X 78.3 X 8.5mm. On the inside, it will probably ship with the Snapdragon 820. Like the LG’s Nexus 5 2015, Huwaei Nexus 6 2015 will also sport a fingerprint sensor on the back, front-facing dual speakers and USB Type C port.

Both the devices of course will ship with the latest Android version which will be Android M without any bloatware. While OnLeaks has assured that these details are true, take this with a pinch of salt as is the case with any leak. We’ll soon get to test the authenticity of these details pretty soon as Google is expected to announce both devices in September along with the Android M announcement.
