As the Instagram announced of their advertisement iterest on the platform in October, the ads started rolling out from November 1st onwards, starting with the ads of Fashion Designer Michael Kors.
Facebook owned Instagram, a photo sharing social network now brings ads between your feeds, similar to sponsored stories of Facebook and these ads are not like traditional banner or text ads, but like a normal post from the people/pages you have not followed.
Previously, the company has assured that the ads will be of high quality posts with beautiful videos and photos form brands of Instagram community. Hence, you don’t need to worry about the dirty banner ads on your feed, those will be kool and worth a like, may be!
And the first advertisement featured on the platform was from the fashion designer Michael Kors, which showcased Parisian-inspired jewelry as well as a watch worth $225 from Michael Kors Timeless collection. Despite gaining over 100K likes on the ad, it became the platform for the outraged Instagram users to comment against the ad feature of the social network. Instagram, still not revealed anything about the frequency of the ads’ appearance in the feed but the first ad was almost identical to the aesthetic look and feel like the regular Instagram posts.
