The Gamers around the world want to know the price of Sony’s Project Morpheus virtual reality headset, even five months before its launch itself. Project Morpheus is an upcoming virtual reality headset, and it is about to launch by Sony Computer Entertainment. The headset is purely designed to work with PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. Till now, there is no such information about the release date, Sony says it will take almost five months to be released into the market.
SCE Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida announced that it is too early to discuss the price factor of the device, and also added that the company has to do some pencil pushing to fix the price point for the device.
SCE Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida said,
“We are talking about launching next year, so typically we don’t talk about pricing one year ahead of time. I think we announced the price of PS4 at E3 the year of the launch so that’s five months before the launch. So it’s too early.” “It’s not like we are waiting for Oculus to announce their price. We still have work to do to know exactly the cost of goods and so on.”
Even though, there is no official announcement from the Oculus Rift makers about the price of the games, some of the gaming websites have tentatively tagged the price as $1500 for the virtual reality game.
The package comes with a personal computer, graphics card and a headset, and other games such as “Fallout 4” by Bethesda produced a lot of excitement due to its low cost. Yoshida added that the new hardware will be focusing on the Game Developers Conference. Project Morpheus is not only the main surprise for the consumers, but also its 120 frames per second ratio and exclusive support for PlayStation 4 also joins in the list.
The rumors say that the device might support the multiplayer option and also would provide Full HD display for the users.[ Source ]
