Samsung Galaxy Gear reports high return rates

Samsung Galaxy Gear which was launched as “the next big thing” isn’t selling as expected. About one in three customers have returned their Galaxy Gear, as reported on Geek.com. The tech blog received a leaked document which mentions the release date of the device including a report that the Gear’s “overall return rate” has peaked 30 percent.

The smartwatch was released by Samsung last September along with their latest Galaxy Note  3 smartphone and Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet along with Galaxy Gear compatibility. The smartwatch with a 1.63-inch Super AMOLED 320*320 resolution display has the ability to sync with the mobile device which can be used to make calls, view photos with many other features.

Samsung Galaxy Gear entered into the market scenario through its partnership with best buy priced at $299 with a 5 color availability. However the gadget doesn’t seem to be popular among the  consumers.

Samsung has also announced that Galaxy Gear would be updated in order to make it compatible to Samsung Galaxy S 4, Note II and Galaxy S 3 from yesterday onwards. However Galaxy S4 Active, Galaxy S 4 Mini and Galaxy Mega will receive their update after some months.
