The official announcement for the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active was made this week by AT&T. Interestingly; AT&T has only made the announcement, while they kept the information about the smartphone under the veil. While knowing the fact that Samsung Galaxy S6 Active will be only be available via AT&T, we will have to wait for the communication company to provide us with full details about what to expect from the smartphone. AT&T holds the exclusive rights on the Active version of Samsung Galaxy S6.
With the official announcement done, the rumors about the device have taken a high flight with AT&T is claiming that the combinations available with Samsung Galaxy S6 Active will be completely unique and spell bounding. The rumors have it that the device will have all the features available with the other variants of Galaxy S6 coupled with the extra specifications of the Active variant. The device is expected to have a 5.1 inch display with Quad HD Super AMOLED screen punched up with a 577 ppi resolution.
The device is also expected to come with Samsung Exynos 7420 along with a 64 bit Octa Core processor. Speaking of the storage, Samsung Galaxy S6 Active will be coming with an internal storage space of 32 GB. Some sources claim that the device will have a 16 MP primary camera and a 5 MP secondary one. All of this will probably be supported by a 3500mAh battery with built in wireless charging facility.
There is very less doubt that the device will have Android Lollipop. But to be true, these specifications are not the ones that are interesting. In addition to all this, Samsung Galaxy S6 Active will feature a protective casing allowing the device to cope up with 10 falls at least. The device has been designed to shock, water and dust resistant. In fact, Samsung Galaxy S6 Active is expected to stay perfect inside water till a depth of 1.5 meters for a duration of 30 minutes. This is way too much to expect from a high end smartphone.
There is no doubt about the fact that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S6 Active is certainly the best Android device for travelers and individuals who use their smartphones in a rough way. How much will it cost you is still not clear, but the device is expected to be launched on 12th June this year.
