Being very conservative, Microsoft has decided to cut down the price of its first generation Surface Pro tablet to $100 o both 64GB and 128GB models.
Probably, Microsoft want to clear out all its stocks prior to the launch of Surface Pro 2. Previously, Surface Pro with 64GB and 128GB storage was priced at $799 and $899 respectively and the current price is $699 and $799 respectively.
The discount offer is only available in United States and Canada until this year-end, may be it can end before the deadline only if all stocks cleared out. However, the pricing in Canada seems bit higher than U.S. pricing as the website shows $799 for 64GB model and $899 for 128GB model after the price cut of $100. If you convert the $699 and $799 USD to Canadian Dollar, it becomes $727 and $831 but the company rounded it with $99 in last two digits. Previously it was $899 and $999 for Surface Pro in Canada.
While it’s not the first time Microsoft is cutting the price of Surface Pro, it also cut $100 back in August. Moreover, the company is also announced iPad trade-in for $200 and above discount coupon for Surface Pro 2 tablets and other Microsoft products. Even it also added iPhones to the iPad trade-in program and pointed Windows Phones to consider as a buy against it.
