A Chinese firm offered $2.25 million to win a lunch meeting with Warren Buffet

Warren Buffet is a famed investor and many business hopes rest on his approval. Recently, an online charity auction was performed to choose the lunch partner for Warren Buffet. It was the Chinese company Dalian Zeus Entertainment that offered a massive amount of $2.35 million in order to get a chance to lunch with Warren Buffet. Warren Buffet is the chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway Inc. and he’s already raised a substantial amount of $20 million through the auctions. All this auction money will go into the account of Glide. Glide provides meals, reasonable housing and helps the poor in San Francisco. Glide showers an ample of love to the city’s people in need.

According to the co-founder of Glide Janice Mirikitani, “For him to believe in us is not even a compliment — it’s an honor.” She gave the statement at RN74, where a party was arranged for celebrating this year’s auction.

The EBay Inc. website confirmed that the bidding had reached $2,345,678 at 7:30 p.m. in San Francisco. This is the 16th year of the event that is held each year around this time. In 2012, the bidding reached a whopping amount of $3.46 million and it remains a record to date.

The winner of the auction gets a chance to enjoy lunch with Warren Buffet and seven of his friends at the Smith & Wollensky steakhouse in New York. The winners from the past David Einhorn and Ted Weschler have been hired by Buffet after the lunch. Lunch with Buffet is a great opportunity for the companies to project their plans to the investors.
