Stylish themes, applications and tricks in Android phones are captured and shared through screenshots, though capturing the interactive elements and effects would not be possible. The inbuilt screen recording utility from popular custom ROM CynogenMod would make the process easier.
However Google Play Store does have its own collection of various free screenshot apps and screen recording apps with paid apps offering more features. Though these apps may have the features or extra options a screen recording tool combined with the system would offer more convenience.
Koush (Koushik Dutta) mentioned in his Google+ page that the new feature would be added to CyanogenMod soon. Ease of use and quick access are the main features in the utility. The screen recording option can be accessed by using the volume up and power buttons. A toggle has also been included to make touched visible which would be useful for making app demos and tutorials.
The exact date has not revealed for the feature to show up on CynogenMod. The feature is undergoing code review which one of Koush’s project remote display framework along with AirPlay and Chromecast compatibility to CynogenMod.
