Microsoft Corporation’s (MSFT) Tournament Celebrates 25 Years of Solitaire

Are you the one who loved to play Solitaire on Microsoft Windows PC, rather than doing the same routine works on your Windows PC. Then, it will be the best news to hear, the world famous detriment to productivity turned 25 this year. In order to celebrate the same, Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) is holding an internal mega tournament to weed out its top leading players.microsoft-solitaire

Employees need to win the battle to grab the honor of being a one of the Microsoft’s top Solitaire gamers and one can able to play with his colleague from their own Personal computers itself.

The Windows Team wrote in a blog post,

“It was 25 years ago that Microsoft Solitaire debuted on Windows, and to honor the decades of fun it’s given us all, we’re celebrating with two big competitions,”

And added,

“[Y]ou’ll be challenged to bring your best to defeat our best,” “Are you up to the challenge? Get your Solitaire game on today.”

On Monday, Microsoft has kicked off the mega tournament for Solitaire in a global scale, to find a better employee leader board. Next month, the same challenges were released publicly for the global players to find out the best player on the globe. Players can able to choose five popular version of Solitaire which includes Klondike, FreeCell, Spider, Pyramid and TriPeaks. Still, it has not been announced which or what will be awarded to the top players of the game.

Casey Hudson, Creative Director at Microsoft Studios in a post on Microsoft’s official Xbox blog said,

“I was fortunate to try an early prototype of HoloLens before it was announced, and I was blown away by the technology and what it was already capable of,”

The news leaked after, Microsoft confirmed that it has included Solitaire game in its upcoming Windows 10. It is strongly suggested, start downloading Solitaire collection on your PC or in Phone, and participate in a tournament next month. You can’t stop your nostalgia for Solitaire, once you have started playing. So be A-W-A-R-E.
