Although the iPhone 5S is unveiled for enthusiasts and iPhone 5c as mainstream smartphone by Apple, the enthusiasts are more adapting to the trends, where the iPhone 5s sales figures are more than double than that of iPhone 5c.
According to the San Francisco based Mixpanel, the sales ratio between iPhone 5s and 5c is 3 to 1 and the Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP) data shows that the 5s model is outselling the “c” model in 2 to 1 ratio.
During the initial days of launch of the smartphones, the company also faced the overwhelming demand for the iPhone 5s, especially the god toned iPhones. And in line count outside the Apple Stores suggested the iPhone 5s buyers were outnumbered in 20 to 1 ratio. And recently it also reportedly decided to cut the production of iPhone 5c to half – from 300K per day to 150K per day.
Apple expected that the iPhone 5c will sell in large number especially in the mass market of budget smartphones, but the namesake budget phone hasn’t made any impression on consumers as the device comes with a hefty price tag, little lesser than the iPhone 5s and the colors didn’t made any difference in sales. We expect a large screen display iPhones in next series, what do you expect?
