After the photos and detailed leaks of Verizon version, HTC has finally unveiled the HTC One Max with 5.9-inches display, front-facing BoomSound speakers and the fingerprint scanner in its rear panel.
HTC One Max weighs 217 grams, 16cms long and 10.3mm thick. If you use the HTC’s power case for $90, you would get an additional 1,200mAh battery to the inbuilt 3,30mAh battery, which is non-removable. Other than the changes in the dimensions, the company has included a fingerprint scanner in the rear panel, which lets you login to the phone without password or unlocking.
The internal storage comes with 16GB and 32GB option and can be expandable with up to 64GB more via microSD card slot. This feature wasn’t available i the previous phones – HTC One and HTC One X. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 600 processor with 2GB of RAM and here the processing power lags behind the latest phones like Sony Xperi Z Ultra and Samsung Galaxy Note 3, which boasts a speedier Snapdragon 800 processors. Powered by Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with HTC Sense UI, the HTC One Max also supports almost all LTE networks in Asia and Europe. US carriers Verizon and Sprint LTE networks also support the device.
No pricing is yet announced but the company has promised release the phones globally as early as this week. HTC One Max will be available in US from tomorrow onwards.
