Photos LG G4 smartphone, slated to launch on April 28, has been leaked online. Popular leaker Evan Blass (@evleaks) discovered the product site, which reveals a trove of information about the smartphone.
LG G4 will feature a 5.5-inch Quad HD display, LG’s latest user interface, a removable 3000mAh battery and a MicroSD slot. G4’s back will be available in a range of color options, including real leather. The smartphone features a super-fast f/1.8 16 megapixel camera, assisted by infrared color accuracy sensor, second-generation image stabilization and full manual mode.
LG is unlikely to bring back G3’s laser auto-focus in the 13MP camera. The camera did not perform well due to washed out photos and “color merging” that distributes red color into the background. LG G4’s leather back with carbon-fiber weave will come in yellow, blue, black and brown color choices. The company seems to be following Motorola’s strategy of offering color choices for Moto X.
The battery capacity has not received an upgrade from the G3, and had a poor battery life. LG will have to match the battery life of Samsung Galaxy S6 that provides 13-15 hours battery life (even with 2K display) in order to compete with the smartphone. However, LG will gain from the MicroSD slot and removable battery as Samsung users were frustrated with the lack of the features.
On the hardware part, LG might either opt for Snapdragon 810 processor used in its G Flex or Snapdragon 808. LG has done away with its plastic design, and is focusing on offering a premium look. Though limited details are revealed in the leak, the smartphone is a worthy competitor to Samsung Galaxy S6. More details will be revealed during the official announcement on April 28. the company’s popularity and market share is growing at a steady pace in the US.
