Yelp has updated their iOS and Android apps, which will help posting reviews and finding new places easier in mobile phones, wherein Android users will get the benefit to post reviews within the app for the first time.
Although the update is minor, there are some redesigns and re-placements of tabs such as “Nearby” in default place in Menu with still 5 options remained there. The new button in the middle will launch quick access options. Apart from these changes – icons, notification images and animations are also redesigned.
Yelp said in the blog post:
With this new addition, we thought it would be interesting to take a look at what Yelpers have been reviewing on mobile and, as it turns out, it’s a little bit of everything. Not only are consumers raving about (and uploading photos of) the to-die-for apple pie à la mode they just devoured, they’re also sharing their thoughts on auto mechanics, gyms and plumbers.
The easiness of posting reviews will be helpful to the user to post from their heart, while they are in the place in the heat of the moment. As the company points, the mobile application (including Android and iOS) was used on more than 10 million devices in monthly average and the new introduction might bring them more hot reviews from their spot decisions.
