Best Buy to start minimimum of $100 trade-in offer for selected phones to buy iPhone 5s and 5c

We have seen Microsoft offering iPhone trade-in and iPad trade-in to buy their Windows Phone handsets and Surface tablets, now Best Buy is all set to offer selected smartphones trade-in for minimum of $100 gift card to buy Apple iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c, where the latter one may come with “zero” down payment.

Initially, a leaked screenshot of Best Buy’s internal document posted to a tech blog and then some major blogs confirmed this by contacting the company. According to the document, the promotion will be running only for a week – starting from October 13th to 19th and it allows you to trade-in not only old iPhones, but also other selected smartphones (not specified yet). The criteria includes – must be in working condition, no cracks on screens and no water damage. The gift cards can only used to buy new iPhones with 2 years contract and the gift card can’t be merged with other offers.

Currently, Best Buy is selling iPhone 5c for $100, the using of the $100 gift card will let you own 16GB one for no down payment. The sad part is, not all Best Buy stores are participating in the promotion, so you need to call and confirm before heading to visit the nearest store. And the good part is, you can rise up your old phone’s value by providing the original packaging and accessories to get the maximum valued gift card. However, you could also head to Apple’s trade-in offer for previous models, started in last August.
