Hyperkin’s Smartboy case will turn iPhone 6 Plus Into a Game Boy

On Reditt, Hyperkin, a company that usually comes with retro novelty products announced that its upcoming iPhone case, that lets the iPhone users to use the device similar to Game Boy. The special iPhone case gives a real experience to the users and turns your iPhone into a real Nintendo Game Boy.hyperkin-smartboy-iphone-case

The Company was criticized as an April fools gag and soon it was graduated into a full-fledged project. The retro model image was leaked in the Reddit by the company and was a realistic idea, while compared to other cases that are available in the market.

Hyperkin’s Retron5 game console has also used a combination of physical ports and also emulations. Now, this current concept of Game Boy case is mainly based for iPhone. But, Gallizzi told that they may also open another panel for Android devices too.

On March 31st, the concept was published in the Facebook fan page of the company, and this offers iPhone users to play Game Boy and Game Boy Color cartridge games in their iPhone screen. Previously, the idea looks like a joke, but Hyperkin made this an excellent artwork that everyone can easily predict the exact role of the case.

On April 1st, Hyperkin posted a second update:

“A lot of you were speculating that the Smart Boy is an April Fools’ Joke. Well, it sort of was. We “leaked” it with the initial intent of testing the market, seeing whether or not it should be something we’d actually make, under the guise of an April Fools’ Joke.”

The case is opted for the upcoming iPhone 6 Plus and in fact, it looks similar to half of the Nintendo Portable is molded into the iPhone device. Let’s hope, that the device doesn’t suffer from the delays as same as its predecessors.
