Despite the decline of PC market and growing Smartphone/tablet market, Dell prepared to launch the new XPS 15 Ultrabook with Windows 8 operating system, which can be upgradable to the latest Windows 8.1.
The next big flagship device of Dell comes with a pretty impressive high resolution touchscreen display with 3200 x 1800 pixel, which is crisp than that of the Apple’s Retina Display. The core specifications includes 2.2GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 Haswell processor, 16GB of RAM, 512GB SSD, Nvidia GeForce GT 750M graphics and a battery with 13 hour battery life. All necessary ports, 18mm thickness and 4.4 pounds weight makes the device strong and competitive to other players in the market.
The DVD drive is removed in Dell XPS 15 and it’s the change from its previous model, which helped to make this device about 5mm thinner and the previous Aluminium body has been replaced by the lighter carbon fiber with magnesium alloy to cut the weight from its previous model. Now, the slim and sleek Windows laptop is aimed to tackle down Apple’s Macbook Pro laptops. Moreover, the more specs has been introduced here such as touchscreen display and power saving Intel Haswell processor, which is not available with the Macbook. However, the price tag of the device will be the main part, which can bring the Dell XPS 15 to the frontline and Dell has assigned the price tag, which starts from $1499.99 and will be in the store shelves from October 18th, i.e., next week. The device will go for sale on online stores as well as nearby retailers.
