Apple will hold an event to release the new generation iPads and iPad Minis on October 22nd, Tuesday – according to the source familiar with the company’s plans. Along with the tablets, the company is also said to unveil the new Mac Pro as well as Mac OS X Mavericks update.
Very same day, the rival company – Microsoft’s Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2 tablets will be released to the market for sale and Nokia World Event to be held at Abu Dhabi to unveil new Lumia Windows Phones. If we just look at the last year’s October event, the event place won’t be Cupertino, California – where it unveiled iPhone 5s and 5c but would be a place like California Theatre in San Jose and not confirmed yet.
As per the strong rumors and leaks, Apple will be releasing 2 types of iPads as it did last year but with more angled edges, bezel and lighter device. May be the iPad Mini would come in different colors like Gold iPhone 5S and it wouldn’t be a surprise. Recently, we showed a leaked video, which compared the new iPad with the old one. Moreover, the iPad Mini 2 will be getting Retina Display, a most praised feature. And regarding the integration of fingerprint sensors in iPads – it’s very unclear.
Apart from the tablets, the company will also release Mac Pro – with all new design, which is previewed in last June’s developer conference. OS X Mavericks – updated operating system of OS X Mountain Lion will be unveiled, which also announced at WWDC and last week, the company has given the final version of the OS to developers. Possibly, Apple might also introduce the Mac Mini desktops and other portable computers such as updated Macbooks.
Although the event will be invite-only, typically the company calls a press meeting every time, prior a week of the event. Stay tuned, we will be getting more information or you.
