Toshiba refreshes the laptop lineups with updated Portege Z30, Z10t, R30, Tecra Z40, Z50, W50

Despite the conditional decline of PC market share in front of growing smartphones and tablets sales, Toshiba today updated its business class laptops by announcing the refreshed Toshiba Portege Z30 ultrabook, R30, Tecra Z40, Z50, Z10t detachable ultrabook and W50 portable workstation.

Toshiba Portege Z30 and Z10t are the ultrabooks, where the latter one can be used as a tablet on the move with digitizer and pen by removing the touchscreen. Z30 is a 13.3-inch ultrabook with 0.7 thinness and weighs only 2.6 pounds, whereas Z40 and Z50 are 0.8 laptops with 14-inch screen+3.2 pounds weight and 15.6-inch screen+3.9 pounds weight respectively.

According to the Toshiba, those 3 laptops can use the same disk image, which makes the support and administration of the device in enterprise easy. Same desktop dock and same AC adapters are also supported by all these laptops. Tecra Z40 and Tecra Z50 can be upgraded with Nvidia GT 730M graphics plus more drive options such as HDDs and SSDs.

Tecra W50 mobile workstation is a 15.6-inch laptop with 1080p display can be configured to support 32GB RAM, Nvidia Quadro KK2100M graphics and additionally comes with the options to upgrade the processors up to Intel Core i7 processor and Nvidia Quadro graphics.

Toshiba Portege R30 is a 13.3-inch ultraportable laptop powered by Intel Core M 4th Gen processor and up to 16GB of RAM. There are options to select up to either a 750GB HDD or 512GB SSD. This device also comes  optical drive, HDMI, Ethernet and weighs only 3.2 pounds.

Price and release date:

Toshiba Portege Z30 starts with $1,279 price tag and Toshiba Tecra Z40, Z50 comes with $1,229 starting price. Toshiba Portege Z30, and Tecra Z40 will be released to market on October 18th, where Tecra Z50 will be released at the November-end. Toshiba Portege R30 will be released to market at the November-end.
