Acer is focussing its efforts in the low-end and mid-range section of smart phones world and this year at Mobile World Congress (MWC), the Acer Company is set to deliver a number of interesting smartphones. Acer has introduced a trio of smartphones in the Android space in 2015. The LIQUID JADE Z, LIQUID Z520 and LIQUID Z220 are the phones lined up by Acer this year.
The Liquid JAD Z is the leader of the group out of Acer’s Mobile World Congress (MWC). It has a 64-bit Central power unit and 1 GB RAM. It packs a Media Trek chipset. The performance of the phone is very satisfactory and it runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
The resolution of the phone appears to be 1080p HD clarity as the clarity is extremely good. But the phone features a 5” IPS display of 720p resolution. The phone has a 3 layer Gorilla Glass protection on top. The ZeroGapTechnology embraces the quality of the phone. The phone has very similar features to its companions. The phone is very grippy compared to other phones of the same company which are sleek and smooth.
Nevertheless, the slim profile and lightweight have stayed. The Liquid Jade Z weighs 110 grams and measures 7.9mm thin. At the back of the phone, there’s a 13MP snapper with LED flash, while a 5MP front-facing one will take care of selfies.
Acer has kept the DTS Surround Sound simulating speaker at the back, but we couldn’t determine if it’s an upgrade over the one in the Liquid Jade S due to the noisy environment. Overall, we quite liked the Liquid Jade Z from our first encounter with it and with a price tag of €199, it’s definitely going to peek our interest again when it launches in March.
