Getting your WhatsApp Up and Running [Beginners’ Guide]

Founded by former Yahoo employees Brian Acton and Jan Koum in 2009, WhatsApp has taken the world by storm as one of the top free multiplatform phone messaging services. It’s in Facebook’s catalogue now. In this article we will guide you through the steps of getting this popular and now seemingly essential service on your mobile, wherever you are.05whatsapp4

All it takes are a few simple steps that make chatting and sharing social media as simple as a “what’s up!?”

1. Your first step is to make sure that WhatsApp supports your phone type and then download it to your device. Ensure that the people you wish to share messages with also do the same and simply add their phone numbers to your contacts list as if you were making a call.

2. Please note that if this is an international number, do not use any exit codes. Begin all international phone numbers with the + sign, followed by the country code.

3. Once you have done this, open WhatsApp and refresh your favorites list (contact list on android).

WhatsApp is now also available on PC and any messages received can now be synced between your phone and home or office system and you will be able to receive messages on both devices. Any communication exchanged in one device will automatically be transferred to the other, making your experience easier and faster.

Please note that you must use Google Chrome as your web browser as other browsers are not currently supported. Also, you should be aware that it is recommended that you are always connected to Wifi while using this App to avoid any data usage charges on your phone. Happy Chatting!
