Apple will resume the in-store pickup of iPhones ordered via its website or app in next week. This will help the customers to order the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C from Apple website or from the App Store and pick it up by visiting any nearest retail-store.
Apple has pulled this feature on very next day of the release of the smartphones, may be because of overwhelming response for the iPhone 5S particularly the Gold colored smartphone. Moreover, Apple has also planned to produce 33% more gold iPhone 5S and its components – thanks to the demand! 9to5mac has noted that the Pick Up option went live last week is because of a glitch in the website.
Apple will continue to use the “Queue card” system for the retail store’s iPhone 5S and 5C purchases until the demand for the handsets normalizes. According to the sources, close to the Apple’s plans, the feature will be live from next Monday. It seems like Samsung falso following the same strategy of releasing a Gold Galaxy S4 soon. TND contacted the Apple regarding the confirmation, when we get the info, we will let you know – stay tuned.
